Limb Reaper Tree Surgery ("we", "us", "our") provides tree surgery services across Essex and nearby areas. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you contact us, request a quote, or use this website, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

We only collect information that you give us directly, or that's generated by your ordinary use of this website. This typically includes:
- Contact details you give us by phone, email, WhatsApp, or when requesting a quote — such as your name, phone number, email address and property address.
- Details about the job — for example the type of work needed, photos you send us, and site access notes.
- Correspondence — records of calls, messages, and emails between us, so we can keep track of your enquiry or job.
We don't use analytics or advertising cookies on this website, and we don't ask you to create an account or log in to anything.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Respond to enquiries and provide quotes;
- Arrange and carry out booked work, including site visits;
- Communicate with you about your job, including scheduling and any changes;
- Keep basic business records, for example for invoicing and insurance purposes;
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We don't use your information for marketing unless you've asked us to, and we never sell your information to third parties.

5. Sharing your information
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information with trusted third parties where necessary, such as our insurers (in the event of a claim), our accountant, or relevant local authorities where a Tree Preservation Order or conservation area application is needed for your job.
If you get in touch or request a quote via WhatsApp, that conversation is also subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy, as it's a service provided by Meta, not by us.
This website also loads a small number of resources from third-party services in order to function:
- Google Fonts — used to display the typefaces on this site. Loading a font involves your browser making a request to Google's servers, which may see your IP address.
- OpenStreetMap / CARTO — the interactive coverage map on our homepage loads map imagery from these providers, which may also see your IP address when the map is displayed.
We don't control how these third parties handle that information — please refer to their own privacy policies for details.
6. Cookies
This website does not currently use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes in future — for example if we add website analytics — we'll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry and job information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, and afterwards for as long as needed to meet legal, accounting, tax or insurance requirements — typically no longer than six years after a job is completed, unless we're required to keep it for longer.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you, and request a copy;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information;
- Ask us to delete your information, where we're not required to keep it for legal reasons;
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information;
