How quickly can you get to an emergency?
It depends on where you are and what's happening elsewhere at the time, but for genuine emergencies — a tree down on a structure, blocking the only access to a property, or an immediate danger to people — we aim to respond as fast as we possibly can, day or night. Call us and we'll give you an honest timeframe straight away.
Do you really answer calls at night and on weekends?
Yes. Storms don't work office hours, so neither do we for genuine emergencies. Call 07500 002582 any time.
Is there an extra charge for emergency call-outs?
Out-of-hours and emergency work is generally priced higher than a standard scheduled job, reflecting the urgency and the team required to respond quickly. We'll always be upfront about cost before starting, even in an emergency — we just won't waste time getting a dangerous situation made safe first.
What should I do while I'm waiting for you to arrive?
Keep everyone — people and pets — well clear of the tree and any area it could still move into. Don't attempt to cut, move or climb on the tree yourself. If a power line is involved, treat it as live and stay well away, and call your electricity network operator as well as us. If anyone's in immediate danger, call 999 first.
Will you deal with my insurance company?
We're not your insurer, but we're used to storm claims and can provide photos, a written report and an invoice that most insurers accept as part of a claim. It's worth photographing the damage yourself too, if it's safe to do so, before anything's moved.
What if the tree hasn't fully fallen yet, but looks like it might?
That still counts as an emergency. A leaning, cracked or partially-fallen tree can be more dangerous than one that's already down, since it's less predictable. Keep clear and call us — we'd rather come out and find it's stable than have you wait and find out it isn't.
